Kate Lake
Landscape & Countryside Photographer
About Me

I'm Kate Lake and I live in a small Kentish hamlet near Tonbridge.
My photography journey started during the COVID lockdown and has never left.
My love of nature and photography was clearly inherited from my father—as a child, I remember a large print of the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells hanging above our fireplace that my mother said he'd taken. After he sadly passed from cancer, I learned from my mother how we shared similar quirky preferences and sensitivities as well as a love of watching birds and enjoying nature.
This same passion drives my motivation as a photographer whether its in Kent or capturing various locations around the UK.
I'm drawn to natural light and shade, water reflections , countryside vista's and incorporating nature in framing the composition. I've come to learn that capturing the natural landscape in simple beauty with minimal editing and less saturation keeps it as realistic and true to the original capture.
Feel free to browse my galleries or shop for framed and canvas prints. I'd love to hear from you if you enjoy my work or want to chat about photography

Dad, your love of nature is an integral part of me and I will always strive to honour your memory as I continue to grow as a photographer.
